COMMUNITY IN UNITY IN CHRIST! Who we are: We are an all-denominational home fellowship and ministry that is motivated by love and compassion to bring the unity of Christ into our homes and neighborhoods extending into our communities and counties. What we do: We open our homes and extend our Love to the Community of Walton County Florida and beyond. We provide a safe, non judgmental home environment for those who are looking for a place to relax while reading and searching Gods word. Through the guidance of the Holy Spirit we learn how the scriptures teach us Gods purpose, will and calling as it applies to each our lives in this century. We break bread together potluck style , sing spiritual songs, pray and share our personal testimonies of what God has done for us and what we can do for Him. Why we do what we do: Acts 2:42 And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers. When we come together in small groups as the first believers did we are able to nurture relationships, provide discipleship and spiritual mentoring. To share in one another’s burdens and joys! As a family of believers we are able to hold one another accountable to the word of God.We are not a “new group”, we are simply people, from all backgrounds with diverse church experiences, who believe that there is only one church with many congregations. We share our experiences and our lives so as to be a positive influence in our extended church bodies and in our ever changing world. By laying down our denominational differences and coming together for love and fellowship it is a step closer to the fulfillment of John 17: 20-23, the only unanswered prayer of Jesus. We welcome all whose hearts are changed and desire a closer relationship with Jesus Christ our Lord and fellow brethren. We pray that you will experience the Love of God in every aspect of our fellowship. What we believe: John 3:16,17 “For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. God did not send his Son into the world to condemn it, but to save it.We also acknowledge and profess that; John 14:6 Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through meWe also acknowledge and profess that; Matthew 28:18-20 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and Of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always to the very end of the age.”We also acknowledge and profess that; We believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth. We believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord. He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended to the dead.On the third day he rose again. He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again to judge the living and the dead. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the unified church, the communion of saints, one baptism for the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. We believe and practice; To the best of our abilities and with Gods help Isaiah 58We also acknowledge and profess that; 2Timothy 3:16,17 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. 2Timothy 4:2 Preach the Word: be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage with great patience and careful instruction. We also acknowledge and teach; Titus 2:1-8; 11-15 You must teach what is in accord with sound doctrine. Teach the older men to be temperate, worthy of respect, self controlled, and sound in faith, in love and in endurance. Likewise, teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live, not to be slanderers or addicted to much wine, but to teach what is good. Then they can train the younger women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God. Similarly, encourage the young men to be self-controlled. In everything set them an example by doing what is good. In your teaching show integrity, seriousness and soundness of speech that cannot be condemned, so that those who oppose you may be ashamed because they have nothing bad to say about us. For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly live in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope-the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good. These, then, are the things you should teach. Encourage and rebuke with all authority. Do not let anyone despise you. Contact: corneliuson@prodigy.net For more on home churches see: Home Church |
