right. The ten-week The weekend is just plain fun. The last time we even had a Baptism in Hogtown Bayou. Everybody went away feeling GREAT!
"Everyone is free to ask any question. No one will laugh or argue with you to prove a point. Some even yell at God. If that’s what it takes to clear the air, we encourage it. We’re just regular folks and know how it feels to have doubts and fears about God and the church. There are trained Alpha Leaders in each group, but only to guide and help them stay on a track. Basically the participants choose what is discussed. It’s a great way to get a hot meal and join in on some highly spirited conversation. We want to stress that Alpha is non-denominational and no one will try to force you to speak or become anything different than they want to be. "hey are free to just listen if that’s what they want to do. But, if they ask, their peers will do the answering. Course topics include: Christianity, Boring, Untrue, and Irrelevant?

With the Holy The Alpha course, designed primarily for non-churchgoers and those who have recently become Christians, runs ten consecutive weeks. There is no charge for ALPHA; however, contributions for meals and
weekend accommodations are requested. All in all Alpha is a wonderful, life changing experience for all who participate. It answers and clarifies the basics of our Christian faith and puts us on firm ground as we travel forward on our journey with the Lord. Alpha has two purposes: the first is to bring people into a relationship with Jesus Christ, the second is to introduce the course to those who are called to evangelism so they can become leaders or helpers with subsequent courses. So Alpha is an opportunity for you to become involved in Christ's commission to all of His people: "Go into the world and preach the Gospel to all people." course began twenty years ago at Holy Trinity, Brompton
, an Anglican church in central London, England and has spread throughout the
world. 
Anyone can take the course,
whether you are affiliated with a church or not, it doesn’t matter. The evening starts promptly at 6:30 with an excellent dinner, followed by a plain
language talk at 7:00. Each Alpha talk is geared to promote discussion in the
small groups. After the talk, 7:30, coffee is available to continue a relaxed
atmosphere. The group discussions, usually involving 8-12 people, end at 9:00.
Child care is available each night.
