For many years I captained a large deep-sea-fishing vessel out of Destin Florida. Most of our runs to the snapper banks were at least two hours from the pier and sometimes considerably longer. During this time many people engaged me in conversation giving me plenty of opportunities to share my beliefs.

There is no way this fish nor any of the others came into being by accident.

The evolutionist is by faith an Atheist. Now some would get fighting mad with me for saying this but if God can make the universe do you think he
needs anything to evolve into perfection? 

Of course not! 

It is time for the evolutionist to change his or her faith in Darwin and find Eternal life, found only in Jesus Christ. 

One day it will be too late.

Many of my deep-sea-fishing customers would find their way thru the open cabin doors and watch me drive. It was exciting to most of them as my cabin was loaded with the latest electronics including some fish finding fathometers that would beep to alert me to any fish beneath the boat. This was a bit like watching the last two minutes of a close football game and no one wanted to leave.

This gave me a wonderful opportunity to get to know many of them and at the same time to share my living faith in Jesus Christ. Since I am known for my “holy boldness”, sooner or later, I would engage them on their faith. 

I am happy to report that most did not admit to being atheist as our reputation as a Christian Boat brought us many Christians even whole busloads from time to time.

When I met one, I felt it was a privilege to represent the Lord Jesus
Christ, and to compliment them. This usually disarmed most as they expected me to attack their beliefs. I would say, “You are an honest person and best of all you are one of high intelligence.” Then, I was normally allowed to explain my statement. 

The atheists I’ve met were very intelligent people. Due to their inquisitive minds I believe they would make very good scientist. They seem to be those who are constantly asking why about most things. Many or should I say most of them were a lot smarter than me.

The one thing they didn’t know the answer to was the most important question in the world. Which is, what is going to happen to you when you die? Most would honestly say, “I don’t know?” Before telling them about the certainty I have, because of the marvelous promises of Jesus Himself, I would with their permission, take them around the world talking about all the animals found there. 

Since I love the out of doors and its inhabitants, I know a lot about them. In only a few minutes I would go from country to country and speak about them. Then I would look at my new friend and ask, “Do you believe that two rocks crashed together up in the sky and out fell all of these animals? Some would say, “I’ve never thought about it that way before.” Then I would add my knowledge of human biology and before long the Lord speaking thru a donkey again had them rethinking their position.

At times I would use one of my favorite passages from scriptures where Jesus said, “I Am the Resurrection and the Life. He who believes in Me, even though he die, yet shall he live. Whoever lives and believes in me shall never die.” This is one of the very best promises in all of God’s Word.

When we reached the fishing grounds and my customers began to wind in lots of fish, I would encourage them to thank God for them. Not only were they extremely beautiful with marvelous colors and shapes but he also gave them all a special flavor when we prepare them for our meals. One of the most beautiful fish in the oceans in my opinion is the flying fish. This small fish is the most aerodynamic creature He made. I’ve seen them leave the bow wake and skim above the waves for hundred of yards. Their pectoral fins are long and perfect in design. If after a long flight they wanted to go further they would drop down near the water with their tails just striking the water for a yard or two. Then, only by His design could they continue for another hundred yards or more. Most folks stood in amazement!

All we have to do is look around us and ask this one question. What is the
statistical probability that this creature, be it in ant or an elephant, came into being by chance? You will convince yourself in a flash. The design is beyond that of any man or men. It must be by God Himself, with His supernatural ability. Besides, Who but Jesus could give it life?

I have left the best for the end of this message. 

The born again Christian has a special joy that no atheist can have because his or her life has been changed forever. Every single one of them can tell you when it happened to them and where they were. If a Christian can not tell you this, I sometimes suspect they are not really born again of His Spirit. You see, to be born again you must first repent of your sins. You can’t just say, "I believe in Jesus and I’m going to Heaven." Please believe me, no one believes in Jesus more than Satan and his unholy angels. They will not spend a second in Heaven. Jesus said that hell was created for them.

If you have never repented before you claimed to be a Christian, you can
right now. Just look up at the cross and see Jesus hanging there, suffering, shedding His Precious Blood for you and you will. At the end is a salvation prayer for you. 

Why put Him off any longer? 

Today, become a son or daughter of the Living God. You are extremely precious to Him. 

Do it now, OK?  But, what ever you do, please do not become a "religious" fanatic. Just love God with all your heart and love His and all people as you love yourself and you will be fine!
